There are many ways, large and small, that we can all use to minimize food waste in our daily lives. If you really want to make a difference, one of the best ways to combat food waste is to almost eliminate the trash in your kitchen. How to Minimize Waste in Your Kitchen

1. Prioritize recycling and compost

Without exception, one of the most important steps to reduce food waste is to prioritize recycling and composting in the daily routine. By religiously recycling all plastic, metals, and glass and breaking down all organic residues, your carbon footprint will certainly become an indispensable success. In addition, your garden can only benefit from the nutrient-rich soil of the compost. It is a win-win situation!

2. Reusable in fashion

Scalable, high-quality kitchens are always equipped with reusable containers. Why use paper plates and plastic bags that only generate more waste? Instead, take an ecological approach to conserve leftovers by investing in sturdy and washable containers that you can use over and over again. Even better if they go to the dishwasher!

3. Bulk

In addition to packing reusable bags every time you visit a store, it is advisable to purchase staples in bulk, if possible. This not only saves you some purchases (reducing your carbon footprint again!). But you can also pat yourself on the shoulder to make it a little easier on planet Earth. The relationship between packaging and product is lower if you use a bag of loose flour, baking soda, salt, or any other staple food you may need.

And last but not least, it’s not just the way you behave in the kitchen, but also the way you design it. If you are thinking of converting space, we will give you some advice.
